 The
Pederson-Krag Center is one of the largest not-for-profit outpatient
behavioral health and chemical dependency treatment facilities on
Long Island. We were founded in 1957 by Doctor Geraldine Pederson-Krag
in a storefront in Northport. The mission was and is to provide
comprehensive behavioral health services to the residents of the
county, regardless of their ability to pay. The Center offers a
full spectrum of services to meet the needs of the most vulnerable
in our community, both adults and children. Sadly, the children's
programs are the fastest growing. Between our 6 facilities, we treat
over 4000 patients a month, and half of them are children.
